Hey Family!
My good family over at Star Camp NEED YOUR HELP! They are planning the beginnings of an epic yearly FREE gathering up on Mt. Shasta on some beautiful sacred land and they need your help and participation! If your interested in helping out and learning more about Star Camp please read on and join the mailing list! Hello everyone.  This is to let you know that plans
are in the works for an awesome FREE Summer gathering
campout music weekend on August 1st through the 3rd.
There will be 2 sound systems, one Psytrance and the
other will be Breaks, House, and Downtempo chillout. 
The location is set on 40 acres of beautiful, private
land with a fresh water pond to swim in and lots of
camping and fun under the stars but we really need
your help to make this event happen…

We are looking for volunteers for the 4th of July
weekend to come out to the land and help to clear the
dance floor and camping/parking areas and help set up
for the event.  We need to chop & burn, and chip lots
of wood and clear some brush, so let us know ASAP if
you are up to help out.  We need chainsaws, elbow
grease, whatever you can bring.  We will have some
tools to use. We plan to work hard during the day and
then camp and swim later in the afternoon and play
music at night on a small sound system…lots of bonding
and friendships will be made.  If you are a DJ and
want to play music at the main event, we really would
appreciate it if you come out to the work party on the
4th of July.  This will really improve your chances of
getting a set in August.  If this work party weekend
is successful, it will clear the way for the main
event on the first weekend of August, so please
contact us ASAP if you can help make this happen. 

Here is some history on the land and the planned
event:

Located on the Northeast side of the Mt. Shasta
foothills, Star Camp is a privately owned 40 acre
secluded mountain getaway at 6300 feet elevation.
With a pond, a lake, fir trees, camp fires, and plenty
of stars.  Star Camp is undeveloped land, acquired
with
the intention of cleaning it up to create a pristine
gathering space for small gatherings and Camp Site.
Star Camp has no buildings, plumbing, or running
water, and you will have to travel 10 miles of dirt
and rocky road to get there.  It is a 6 hour drive
from San Francisco.  Dogs and Children are welcome!
 
Previous owners had logged Star Camp sometime in the
last 20 years, failing to burn or haul slash and
limbs.  Over the last 5 years, Goldilox has been
working with friends to clean this mess, restore the
health of the forest, and to eliminate immediate fire
danger.  There is a lifetime supply of firewood, and
it is going to take many more gatherings to clear the
useable flat land for camping, parking, etc.  Space is
currently very tight, however, one can see how
rewarding 
it will be once the work is done.  This will help 
restore the natural native vegetation and beauty.
 
For the MAIN EVENT, which is August 1st weekend, we
will have DJ's and Camping.  This will be a free
event, however there will be a PARKING FEE of approx
$20 per car, to help encourage carpooling and pay for
clearing expenses (so you can park in the first place)
and event expenses.  This money goes right back into
the land so there can be more events.  NO RV's!!!!
There is not enough space!   Please carpool and pack
your trash!
 
We still need some things for the Main Event, such as
extra tables, decor, visuals, generators, extra fuel
for the generators, etc.  We also need volunteers to
work the door/parking.   

This is YOUR event and it is FREE, but it may not
happen 
without your help and participation.  So, call or
e-mail us 
ASAP if you want to participate in helping to
transform this 
awesome land into a community space that we can all
benefit from for many years to come!  Let’s make it
happen!
